The Committee for Student Research Papers is a permanent expert committee of the Faculty Council, which receives, evaluates, and approves proposals for the student research papers, and annually drafts a proposal for the award of annual (Dean's and Rector's) awards for the best student research paper. The President and members of the Committee, with a three-year mandate, are appointed by the Faculty Council on a proposal from the Dean. The Vice-dean for Science and the Vice-dean for Graduate Studies are members of the Committee by default, and one member of the Committee must be a student representative.
