Our professor Danica Galešić Ljubanović has been elected president of the International Board of the Renal Pathology Society
Professor Danica Galešić Ljubanović from the Department of Pathology and Head of the Laboratory for Nephropathology and Electron Microscopy at the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine University of Zagreb, has been elected President of the International Board of the Renal Pathology Society!
Renal Pathology Society is the largest international association with headquarters in the USA, which gathers nephropathologists from all over the world with the aim of transferring knowledge about the pathology and pathophysiology of kidney diseases.
Professor Galešić Ljubanović became a member of the Renal Pathology Society in 2004 after completing an 18-month training in renal pathology at the University of Colorado Health Science Centre, Denver, USA, as a fellow of the International Society of Nephrology. In 2003, she founded the Department of Nephropathology and Electron Microscopy at the Dubrava Hospital, which is the largest such department in Croatia and the region and one of the largest in Europe. Sher was also the organizer of the 5th International Renal Pathology Conference, which was held in 2023 at the School of Medicine University of Zagreb, and brought together around 400 participants from 62 countries.
