The Centre for Mental Health Improvement was established in January 2015 with the aim of conducting multidisciplinary scientific and professional research and organizing, conducting, and promoting specific consulting activities in the field of mental health. The Centre's work is based on interfaculty and interuniversity cooperation.
The Centre participates in theoretical parts of education in psychotherapeutic and psychiatric therapies that include all biopsychosocial treatment methods, encourages interdisciplinary and team work through the organization of lectures and workshops, develops activities related to the improvement of interpersonal relationships in different contexts of their development, works on raising tolerance for “different” and unknown, including attitudes towards mental and emotional problems, and works on developing social and rehabilitative therapy methods for mental and emotional problems.
The Centre pursues scientific and professional international cooperation in research and education in the field of psychotherapy, psychiatry, and mental health.
