Physical and Health Education

Physical education, physical and health culture, is a compulsory course in the first two years of medical studies. The course consists of 30 hours of exercises in each semester.

According to their own preferences, students choose the offered sports and recreational activities within which they fulfill their obligations towards the course. Various "indoor sports" are offered (basketball, indoor football, handball and volleyball), then tennis, table tennis, rowing, swimming, curling, chess, athletics, etc. for both male and female students. There are also dances (salsa) on offer, and occasionally some other recreational activities that interest students.

As part of the course, students can write papers in areas that promote physical activity in the student population, physical activity and health, and injury prevention in recreational physical exercise, and thus participate in domestic and international professional and scientific conferences.

The Division for Physical and Health Education is located at the Šalata 2, 1st floor, room 103/104, where there is also a notice board with the necessary information about classes and current events. First and second year students can receive and request information related to the classes through the LMS.
