Activities of the Research Department of Pathology
The teaching activity is carried out through the Department of Pathology.
Professional activity takes place through diagnostic and consulting cooperation with health care institutions in the country and abroad. The Research Department is one of the regional centres for molecular pathology and electron microscopic diagnostics.
Scientific activity is manifested in the cooperation on numerous projects, partly international, which results in a considerable number of publications.

Research Department of Neuroscience at the Croatian Institute for Brain Research
The Research Department of Neuroscience is an organisational unit of the Croatian Institute for Brain Research which serves as the seat of the Fundamentals of Neuroscience Course Council (mandatory course in the 3rd semester of the integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in medicine), a number of elective courses in the integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in medicine, postgraduate PhD study in Neuroscience, and the Fundamentals of Neuroscience course in the Medical Studies in English.
The head of the Research Department is also the Head of the Fundamentals of Neuroscience Course Council - Prof. Goran Šimić, MD, PhD.
