Introduction to Research

Evidence-based principles of scientific research and medicine are part of the approach to the entire teaching process at the School of Medicine. The main goal of the Introduction to Research course is to train a medical student, a future physician, to critically evaluate their work and that of others by using professionally and scientifically based procedures. Additionally, the course will give the student basic knowledge and skills to independently design simpler research in order to improve the quality of their own research and practice. A prerequisite for this is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes for critical reading of professional and scientific literature so that they can understand medical procedures based on scientific knowledge.
