- The Dean manages the School, represents the School, is its leader and director.
- The Dean presides over the Faculty Council and ensures that decisions and conclusions of all bodies of the School are implemented.
- The Dean is directly assisted by the vice-deans and they deal with first-instance administrative matters.
- The vice-deans are proposed by the Dean from among the School’s faculty. The proposed vice-deans shall be elected by the Faculty Council by a simple majority of the present members of the Council, by public vote.
- One of the vice-deans replaces the Dean in absentia.
- The vice-deans shall be elected for three years and, after the end of their term of office, the same person may be re-elected as a vice-dean.
- The assistant deans shall be appointed by the Dean for a period of three years.
- The assistant deans shall assist the Dean in carrying out the duties in the field for which they are appointed.
- The Andrija Štampar School of Public Health (SPH) is represented by its Director, who is selected by the Faculty Council on the basis of an internal call, with the favourable commendation of the Dean, for a period of four years.
- The Director of the Croatian Institute for Brain Research (CIBR) organizes and manages the work and operations of the CIBR and represents the CIBR. The Director shall be elected by the Faculty Council on the proposal of the Scientific Council of the CIBR, based on an internal call, with the favourable commendation of the Dean, for a period of four years.
- The School administration is governed by the Head Secretary as the executive body of the Dean, Faculty Council, Management Board, and other expert bodies of the School. The Secretary General resolves first-instance administrative matters. The Secretary General shall be elected by the Dean on the basis of a public call.
- The Management Board is an expert body consisting of Vice-deans, Assistant Deans, Directors of branches, Secretary General, student representative and Union representative. The Dean shall prepare, convene, and conduct the meetings of the Management Board at least once a week.
